Star of Wonder is a magical new show from Theatre Porto in Ellesmere Port, and the award-winning Teatro Pomodoro, an international theatre company made up of performers and creators from five different countries (Canada, Italy, Japan,
Spain and UK). They are based in Liverpool and were brought together in Paris at Ecole Philippe Gaulier. The show, for ages 5 and above tells the tale of three travellers who follow a star. They fall-out, get lost, overcome obstacles, and finally find what they are looking for…

Theatre Porto
Full of clowning, physical theatre, and shadow puppetry, the show features an international cast including Carmen Arquelladas, Jordan Connerty, Nikki Hill, Miwa Nagai, and Simone Tani and directed by the award-winning Nina Hajiyianni, and made with the ideas of children from local primary schools in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, UK. Theatre Porto specialise in theatre for, by and with children and young people and Teatro Pomodoro create though-provoking, playful theatre for audiences internationally. This first time collaboration promises to be a unique and special partnership.

This production is designed to be as welcoming and accessible as possible for all ages. It will be performed with minimal words and an electrifying blend of clowning, music, and physical comedy, using the experience of a diverse cast of international and learning-disabled performers, who have delighted audiences with magical memories globally across Europe, Asia, and North America.
