MP launches Scented Garden’s second venue

Chester MP Samantha Dixon opened the second branch of The Scented Garden Retreat in Old Port Square in the Garden Quarter last night. The popular independent health and wellbeing business has expanded from its Northgate Row HQ into a second unit due to increased demand. The canal side venue will offer the same services as the main store alongside a range of advanced skin treatments, including micro needling and microdermabrasion. The expansion means that customers can now expect a dramatic reduction in waiting times.

Owner Laura Heywood thanked local businesses, Chester BID, family and friends and the community for their support, saying “To get to this stage in our growth has been profound. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be opening a second shop. Over the last 4 weeks while we’ve been working here its felt like a really hard slog, but I hope you like what we’ve created here. We look forward to welcoming you here.”

Before cutting the ribbon the city MP Samantha Dixon commented :

“It’s been fantastic to see the way Laura’s business has evolved over the last couple of years and this is an amazing step forward, a brave step forward by a very brave woman! I’m sure those of you that come to see Laura regularly know that at the heart of her business are her values. For those of that you talk to her and her staff in that lovely relaxing atmosphere its a really nourishing and supportive place. I get so much from the time that I spend with Laura and her staff”

Guests at the launch event were entertained by Matt Baker and Chester’s LGBT Choir Proud Marys.
