Media were treated to a tour of the Picturehouse cinema which opens to the public on Friday. First announced in 2016, the cinema is part of the Northgate development including the new market which opened one year ago.

The 6 screen cinema is fully accessible with the smallest screen holding 50 people and the largest 220. The unique decor is inspired by the films of Wes Anderson and features brass plaques with quotes from his films dotted around the building.

Lord Mayor Sheila Little officially unveiled the mural in foyer created by artist Murugiah. The mural has been specifically designed for Chester and features many local references.
