Easter at Picturehouse

Get ready to celebrate Easter at Chester Picturehouse! From Good Friday (29 March) the
cinema will be going all out for the school holidays, with new lower prices for families, incredible films, and a whole host of special events.

Located amidst the hustle and bustle of Chester Northgate, wander your way into Chester Picturehouse: a treat of a cinema boasting six screens and a café-bar, not to mention a stunning mural created exclusively for the cinema by artist Murugiah that’ll greet you when you arrive. The cinema’s interior design, in enviable shades of pink and blue, gently nods to the perfectly pastel-hued worlds of one of our favourite filmmakers, Wes Anderson.

This Easter, the whole family can watch films for less at Chester’s newest cinema with a reduced price Family Ticket – now just £26 for four tickets. With new releases like Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Kung Fu Panda 4 playing across the Easter break, there’s never been a better time to introduce your little ones to the magic of cinema.

That’s not all: Chester Picturehouse’s Saturday morning Kids’ Club will run for the whole of the Easter holidays: see Peter Rabbit or Disney-Pixar’s Soul for just £3.30 a ticket.

Chester Picturehouse is also introducing its Dog-Friendly screening, where owners and their four-legged friends can see the Oscar-nominated Robot Dreams at 11am on Sunday 7 April.

And there’s more than just films to enjoy at the cinema: Picturehouse’s fully stocked cafe and bar will be open and serving a brand new kids’ offering, including a lunch box and a snack box to keep them going, with prices starting from just £3.95.

There will also be plenty of family-friendly activities and competitions happening throughout the break, including a craft session and an Easter scavenger hunt. So stay tuned to our social channels for further info.
