Imran Savas Claims Entrepreneur of the Year at MBCC Awards 2024

The ceremony saw Savas triumph over notable finalists including Gymshark founder Ben Francis MBE. The MBCC Awards celebrate excellence in business and entrepreneurship across the United Kingdom, recognising individuals and organisations that demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and social impact.

The victory marks a pinnacle moment in Savas’s journey from Chester-born entrepreneur to national business icon. His win particularly resonates given his recent nomination alongside Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford MBE for Role Model of the Year, underlining his dual impact in both business and social leadership.

During his powerful acceptance speech, which earned a standing ovation from an audience including This Morning’s Alison Hammond, Loose Women’s Judi Love, and entrepreneurs such as Levi Roots, Savas emphasised the broader significance of his achievement:

“This year, I have found it hard due to the conflict in Palestine, I know it is controversial to say in front of all of you. This is why I felt the need to wear my Keffiyah today as the past year has taken it out of me as I have seen children die, women being burnt alive and for me that is more important – humanity. As a human to be able to speak on their behalf that means more to me than this award. Keep everyone in our prayers and let’s work for humanity together.”
