Chester born broadcaster Mike Parry is celebrating his 70th birthday on the 29th December by offering to buy a drink for anybody who wants to join him at Ye Olde Kings Head on lower bridge street.
Posted on X/ Twitter he stated : “I’m going home to Chester to celebrate in Ye Olde King’s Head where I bought my first ever pint. And I will buy a drink for ANYBODY who wants to join me there between midday and 2pm on December 29th. Let’s raise a glass. ”
The famous Cestrian was educated at The Kings School and went on to work for The Sun and Daily Express as well as serving as Press Officer for the Football Association. He worked for talkSPORT for 20 years and currently appears as a guest on Jeremy Vine’s channel 5 He is also famous for a “cinnamon eating challenge” that achieved viral success with over 260 million views.
