Tape UK has marked its marks its sixth anniversary by launching a powerful new campaign spotlighting the remarkable community work of Bread Together, a Chester-based social enterprise that has been transforming lives through the simple act of baking bread.
The campaign features a moving short film that captures the essence of community and collaboration, produced in partnership with Ambitious Creative.
Bread Together began as a small weekly baking group in 2010 at the Wesley Church centre, they now operate community baking sessions as well as their own microbakery. Despite their significant community contributions, they remain one of the city’s best-kept secrets. Tape UK aims to change this by sharing their story with a wider audience.
“When a loaf of bread breaks, it’s meant to be shared. Because the simplest acts create the deepest connections,” says Imran Savas, Founder and Chief Executive at Tape UK. “Our journey from startup to nationwide company mirrors what we see in Bread Together – unwavering persistence, genuine collaboration, and the unstoppable power of community support.”
Led by Mary and her dedicated team, Bread Together embodies the transformative power of community enterprise. Their work goes beyond baking – it’s about creating opportunities, building skills, and fostering connections among people from all walks of life.
The campaign emphasises that just as every loaf needs multiple hands working in harmony, every thriving community builds on collective effort – a philosophy that has guided both Tape UK and Bread Together throughout their respective journeys.
“Whether we’re supporting small businesses or breaking bread together, we’re proving that the greatest achievements come from working side by side,” Imran Savas adds. “Join us in celebrating the power of community. Because together, we rise.”
