Local choir Handbag of Harmonies are offering a joyful day of doorstep performances with the offer of a special “choirgram” for deserving community members. The choir who were founded in 2000 and are led by musical director Matt Baker are asking for people to nominate someone who deserves a “special musical moment”.
The special performances will take place on July 12th marking the choir’s 25th anniversary. The Handbags say they are open for nominations with suggestions including :
- That incredible teacher who goes the extra mile…
- The neighbour who’s always helping others…
- A couple celebrating their golden wedding anniversary…
- A pair tying the knot in our beautiful city?
“Whether it’s a selfless community hero, a hardworking team making a difference, or someone simply in need of a smile, we want to hear about them!”
Nominations must be emailed to helenlaceymail@icloud.com by the 8th June. The performances are free to anyone living in the Chester area. The Handbags will be hiring a bus on the day and fitting in as many special musical performances as they can on July 12th.
