Brio Launches ‘Brio Meals at Home’ service

Brio, a community-focused leisure provider wholly owned by Cheshire West and Chester Council, has announced the launch of ‘Brio Meals at Home’—a new initiative offering high-quality, home-cooked ready meals at affordable prices. While Brio is traditionally known for delivering leisure services, they are expanding its commitment to community wellbeing by providing accessible, nutritious food options.

Having launched in April, ‘Brio Meals at Home’ will be available across Brio Winsford, Brio Ellesmere Port, Blacon Beacon, Brio Northgate and Winsford Youth and Community Forum. To mark the launch, over 500 meals will be sold at a special introductory price of just £2, with the standard price set at £3 thereafter.

Recognising the need for affordable and nutritious meal options in Cheshire West, Brio has partnered with the Cheshire West and Chester Council public health team to develop this service. The initiative is particularly aimed at supporting older residents, those needing additional support, students, or anyone looking for a hearty, nutritious meal. With freezer-friendly packaging and a regularly changing menu, Brio Meals at Home offers a healthier alternative to many supermarket-ready meals.

Jordan Gallagher, Brio’s Catering Manager, said: “Residents of our borough who rely on ready-made meals will benefit greatly from our new service. We’re committed to providing high-quality food that tastes as good as homemade, with the convenience of freezer-friendly packaging. Our team has worked diligently to bring this project to fruition, and we’re excited to see its continued growth and success.”

Brio Meals at Home is unique in its approach, prioritising responsible food sourcing and sustainability. The initiative will focus on those who already rely on pre-made meals, offering a superior alternative that promotes both taste and wellbeing. A community-led approach will also be key, with Brio actively seeking consumer feedback to shape the product range in response to local needs and preferences.

The pricing strategy ensures accessibility, with single servings (one meal plus a side) available at competitive prices. Larger portion options will also be introduced to support social dining cost-effectively.

Brio encourages members of the community to visit a participating venue and try the meals firsthand. This initiative represents an exciting step in Brio’s ongoing commitment to community support, offering a practical, nutritious solution to food accessibility challenges in the region.
