Countess of Chester Country Park raises prestigious Green Flag Award after achieving international quality mark for parks and green spaces
Greenspace management charity, the Land Trust and its partner, The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), and the site’s Friends of Group are celebrating after receiving a Green Flag Award for the Countess of Chester Country Park for the eighth year running. The site is one of 2,250 in the UK to achieve the award, which is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces. The news that Countess of Chester Country Park has met the standards required for the accreditation is testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams that care for the green space so that visitors and residents alike can enjoy it.I n addition to retaining its Green Flag Award, the Country Park was named ‘Health Site of the Year’ at the Land Trust’s Managing Partners Awards last week.
