Chester to Glow Green at Clatterbridge Cancer Charity night walk

Clatterbridge Cancer Charity’s Glow Green Night Walk is coming to Chester for the first time in February.

Chester will glow green as hundreds of people come together to walk in support of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Whether you’re walking in memory of a loved one, celebrating a personal milestone, or simply want to show your support for local people affected by cancer – this is your moment. Also taking place in Liverpool, the event is celebrating its fifth birthday this year.

The Glow Green Night Walk is more than just a walk – it’s a celebration of life, love, and community. It’s a chance to:

  • Raise vital funds for cancer patients across Merseyside and Cheshire.
  • Celebrate breakthroughs in life-saving research.
  • Thank the incredible staff who care for patients every day.
  • Reflect and remember with a stunning lantern display.

In 2025, over 1,400 walkers turned Liverpool green, raising an amazing £270,000. Iconic landmarks like St George’s Hall, St John’s Beacon, and The Royal Liver Buildings lit up in solidarity. Chester is joining the movement giving even more people the chance to walk, reflect, and raise funds.

The walk on Friday 27 February will start from the Racecourse with the route taking in entertainment, music and illuminated landmarks.

The Chester event is sponsored by accountancy and business advisory firm DJH.
