A man has been banned from Chester city centre under the terms of a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

Daniel Curtis, from North Wales, appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 19 March 2026.This comes after officers secured evidence of Curtis repeatedly approaching members of the public and asking for money, which he says he will transfer back to them via a bank transfer, but the money is never received.
Curtis, 35, must not enter Chester city centre or Deva Retail Park, as per the exclusion map areas. He must also not approach persons unknown to request money or encourage them to give him money.
Inspector James Wilson said:“Curtis has been a persistent problem in the Chester area and these conditions will help to protect the public from his behaviour and allow us to take swift action if he breaches them.“This should also send out a strong message that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated. If anyone witnesses Curtis breaching his CBO, please contact Cheshire Police on 101 or through our website to report it.”
