Palm opened 2 years ago on Watergate street, an area which has become well known for its food and drink offering. One of our team members went along to sample a selection of drinks from the large (40 to choose from) cocktail menu.

Cocktails at Palm

We arrived at 4:30pm on Saturday night – relatively busy, good atmosphere with some good fun music playing. We were greeted at the door and seated – 2 different tables had been kept for us to choose depending on what background we wanted. Our first drink was a cocktail each – a raspberry rose fizz & a mango and kiwi daiquiri – both VERY yummy, nice and sweet. To accompany our drinks although Palm offer a full menu including afternoon tea and a Sunday bottomless brunch, we just went for some chips to line our stomachs.

After that, we saw the table next to us get some blue shots with candy floss on top – so we ordered some – they were very sour and not very nice to drink ha but looked good and were a fun addition to the afternoon. After that we tried a drink with a “smokey bubble” which was really cool and a great option for Instagram story content.

To close our visit we selected a final cocktail which was specially made for us based on the ingredients we said we liked. Blackberry fizz and a tropical cocktail with fresh strawberries were our choices.

I think a good sign of a fun bar is when they say they can make whatever we want even off the menu , so that box is ticked here. In summary we would highly recommend Palm for cocktails:. The staff were friendly, all part of the fun relaxed atmosphere. The décor inside with its neon pink slogans is another great choice for social media photos, all adding up to make Palm the place to go for Chester in Cocktails.

Palm is located at 31 Watergate street
