A Chester-based record label that specialises in 7-inch vinyl is celebrating the release of their 10th record with an upcoming showcase featuring world champion turntablist DJ Woody, described as “The best DJ in the world” by Hudson Mohawke and one of Mixmaster Mike’s (Beastie Boys) favourite DJs.

On 4th July at Telford’s Warehouse Regulate Recordings label bosses Tony “T2Funk” Craughwell and Carl “DJ Deviant” Vincent will be appearing alongside DJ Woody as the Shake Your Rump DJ collective, who have played festivals and shows throughout the UK including Moovin Festival.
Created as a way to showcase their own music, Regulate Recordings has been featured heavily by 45 DJs around the world – including by DJ Woody himself who nominated their release “Summer Jam” as his favourite record of 2025, and which was picked up by Craig Charles’ Radio 6 Funk and Soul Show for airplay.
Drummer Manimal, known as the boss of clothing brand BEPO, will be providing live percussion throughout the night highlighting the local bonds Regulate Recordings has been forming since starting in 2020.
“The idea of the label is really a social thing to connect with DJs and producers around the world as well as locally. Since starting, we’ve built up a group of collaborators to work with and we’re really looking forward to working with some more local talent for our upcoming releases. We’ve got an awesome producer who’s just made a remix for us, and a bassist who’s also helping with recording in the studio. We love working with our friends and people who have become friends by bonding over a shared love of making funky music!” says Tony.
Dj Woody, T2Funk and DJ Deviant will be spinning all 45 vinyl sets on the evening playing disco, hip hop, Latin, funky breaks and guaranteed party starters to “Shake Your Rump” to.
Tickets are available on seetickets.com now.
