After a long period in development Jack Burrito has opened on Northgate street joining the ever growing Chester restaurant scene. The South American inspired restaurant has been launched by the same team behind Wok and Go which was founded in the city ten years ago.
Aiming to “bring the humble spud into the 20th century” with Latin inspired flavours, JBs will also offer burritos and will be open from 9am until 11pm for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. A children’s menu is also available.
Signature dishes include “Ring of Fire”: fiery hot pulled beef, jalapenos and avocado and “the Spaniard” : chorizo, tomato, three beans and smoking chipotle mayo.
Diners can enjoy casual atmosphere or select a drink from the licensed bar. The idea for the restaurant was developed by Wok and Go founder Des Philby. The Chester based chain currently has 24 stores with a further 12 planned. Des hopes that the Jack Burrito concept will be as popular as Wok and Go. “We’re excited to be opening our new restaurant on Northgate street. Our menu is going the classic jacket potato up to date”
Jack Burritos are open 9am-11pm.

Is it really South American? The name sounds more Tex-Mex. Also, what does it mean “bring the humble spud into the 20th century”?
