With the news that Chester market will be trading until 8pm every Friday, Jeffro Airall, of “Jeffro’s Wingz an Tingz” is promising to bring a taste of the Caribbean to the revitalised Chester market.
Jeffro, originally from London has been living in Chester for 15 years. He came to Chester with his partner, from Llangollen and was so impressed by the city that he decided to move here. He has worked in a variety of fields outside of food, but previously worked in the catering industry in Mold with good results. “I’ve been perfecting the recipes up til now!”
” The idea behind the business is to bring some Caribbean flavours to the people of Chester, I think its something they lack! I’ve spent time in Jamaica , Domenica. I can go back to basics as well as a fusion with modern day food.” He says that a friend introduced him to the market and he soon took up an available unit.
With the soft launch having taken place 2 weeks ago , the full opening will be on Friday 2nd November. On the menu will be various flavoured wings, including smoked paprika, jerk and chilli. Vegetable and mutton curry will also be available. Tropical drinks including Guinness punch and pineapple punch will be served alongside traditional Caribbean beers such as Red Stripe and Dragon Stout.
“I think the market is buzzing and I’m made up that I’m in it. I think its the perfect platform. ” Jeffro is also keen to be part of the new market, now expected in 2020.
